Educational Movies of CBDRM Project

When the Earthquake 2005 hit Pakistan, NRSP instantly responded it with whatever resources and expertise it had to provide relief to the affected communities of AJK. These relief/rehabilitation operations have now eventually culminated into a well planned Disaster Risk Management programme. NRSP has done its first Community Based Disaster Risk Management - CBDRM - project in Muzaffarabad (Sep. 2007 - Sep. 2008) with a German-based NGO namely Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe. Under this project we established Disaster Management Committees (at Revenue Village level), identified volunteers and trained them in CBDRM, 1st Aid and in search/rescue operations during emergencies, provided Emergency Response Tool Kits, and so on.

One of the project activity was development of Educational Film to document and share the project interventions/learning within and outside NRSP. In this regard an education film has been produced and uploaded on YouTube as well.

This educational film is split into two parts: Part 1 is in English with general audience like NRSP staff and other organizations etc. Part 2 is in Urdu and is specifically developed to train the communities. It (part 2) can be used as a training material to provide basic orientation in CBDRM to our CO/LSO members. Since both parts cover same project, many scenes overlap.
