Social Assistance

Considering the severe impacts of the devastating 2010 flood in Pakistan, Social Assistance was included as a priority area in 2010 under the Ambassadors’ Fund to provide emergency relief to the flood stricken communities in Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and Gilgit Baltistan. Extensive relief services were provided to help local communities address their immediate post-emergency needs for food, shelter and livelihood in the flood-hit areas. This is an exclusive Ambassador’s Fund thematic area.
