USAID Small Grants and Ambassador\u2019s Fund Program has awarded a grant to Mountain and Glacier Protection Organization (MGPO) for improving educational quality and access for girls.<\/p>\n
The project is designed to provide physical space and enabling environment for girls to receive education in Government Girls High School, Pail Mirza, Jhelum, Punjab in 12-month. MGPO also plans to improve the quality of education in this school. The organization seeks to do this through constructing two classrooms, two science labs (Physics, Chemistry\/Biology), a library, a computer lab and four washrooms for high section; repair and maintenance of five classrooms and construction of four washrooms at primary section; strengthening capacities of teachers for improved teaching methodologies.<\/p>\n
The project will improve the quality of life of disadvantaged communities with special focus on gender mainstreaming and promoting quality and access in public school. The project is reaching out to over 500 students and teachers.<\/p>\n
