NOOR PUR THAL – The Quaid-e-Millat Foundation (QMF) has launched a programme in collaboration with the USAID to raise socio-economic condition of the women living in far-flung rural areas of Thal.
QMF Chairman Malik Gulzar Hussain Jara said this while addressing a certificates distribution ceremony here the other day. The ceremony was held at USAID Computer Training Centre. District Programme Officer National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) Mazhar Buzdar was the chief guest at the ceremony. NRSP District Engineer Zahoor Ahmad, NRSP Field Unit In-charge Ali Roza and a large number of students attended the event.
The QMF chairman said that at least 350 women from different villages had completed different courses under the programme. He further said that the project would not only empower rural women but also give them opportunity to avail health and education facilities.
He claimed that the programme would leave long-lasting impacts on rural families and become a message of prosperity for the under developed areas of Thal.
Speaking on the occasion, USAID Computer Training Centre Principal Malik Qutab Sher Jara said that students from different areas had showed great interest in the computer training course. He highlighted the importance of information technology. He thanked the USAID for facilitating the computer training centre in Thal.
Later, the chief guest distributed certificates among 48 students who completed training.
