The U.S. Ambassador’s Fund has funded Forum for Language Initiatives for the preservation of three endangered languages of Chitral – Gawar Bati, Dameli and Yidgha and one endangered language of Swat – Ushojo.
In August 2015, Forum for Language organized a one-week “orthography workshop” in the Aspar village, conducted by a Lexicographer and two experts in Dameli language, to develop orthography/alphabets of the Dameli language.
