Abbottabad: A USAID-funded project has been executed to empower women in Khukhriala area of Pattan Kallan in Abbottabad through Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program Network for Human & Social Development (NHSD).
According to press release issued on Thursday, a closing ceremony was organized regarding project of “Economic Empowerment for Better Lives of Women”.
The projects vowed to economically empower the women of Village Khukhriala, UC Pattan Kallan, and Tehsil & District Abbottabad.
The NHSD upgraded the local Vocational Training Centre (VTC) and taking measures for its sustainability; imparting training in a set of diversified trades to 120 local women; and putt a mechanism for linking the women trained at VTC with the market.
